As a user of the application, you have the right to delete your account. You can do this by following the instructions below. When a user deletes their account, all notifications and chat data are removed from the application.
How to delete your account in the Carib Health app:
- Log in to the app with the account you want to delete.
- Go to the 'Me' page by selecting it in the menu at the bottom.
- Scroll down and select 'Delete Account'.
- Enter your first and last name in the designated fields to confirm that you want to delete the account.
- Click 'Delete Account'.
- You will be automatically logged out. Your chat data and notifications will be deleted within 48 hours.
What data is retained after account deletion?
Data and retention period:
- Chat conversations: Are retained. These conversations are part of your medical record and must be kept for 20 years by law. After deleting your account, these data will no longer be accessible to you or your healthcare provider(s).
- Notifications: Are not retained.
