Carib Health chat will be discontinued as of July 1, 2026
As of July 1, 2026, the Carib Health chat feature will be discontinued in its current form.
Over the past period, Carib Health has been used to gain experience with digital communication through an app in primary care in the Caribbean. Due to changes in the organisation and funding, it is no longer possible to continue offering the chat feature in its current form after July 1.

Definitions
All terms in these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") that begin with a capital letter have the following meanings:
- Provider: Carib Health B.V., located at Stadsring 115, 3817 AX Amersfoort and registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 98599364.
- GDPR: Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).
- Carib Health app: the online person who has access to the use of the Carib Health app.
- User: a natural person who provides personal data to or otherwise uses the Carib Health app.
- Carib Health app: the web and mobile application of Carib Health.
Emergencies
In case of an emergency, the User must always contact the emergency service of the general practice or the emergency post. The Carib Health app should not be used in emergencies.
The Carib Health app
The Carib Health app is a digital service managed by the Provider. These Terms apply to the use, access, and information obtained through the Carib Health app. By using the Carib Health app, the User agrees to these Terms.
Registration and Account
Users must register for an account. Users must provide a valid email address and, in some cases, their Citizen Service Number (BSN). The Carib Health app may only be used for personal purposes and by the person who registered.
Data and Communication
The Provider is not liable for damages resulting from access to or the use of (or the inability to use) the Carib Health app, including damage caused by malware, viruses, or other inaccuracies or incompleteness in the data of the Carib Health app, unless such damage is the result of intent or gross negligence on the part of the Provider.
Processing Personal Data
The Provider is the controller regarding the processing of personal data of the User as defined in Article 4(7) of the GDPR. A privacy statement has been prepared for the processing of Users' personal data.
Use of the Carib Health app
Access to and use of the Carib Health app are subject to the usage rules described in the Terms and are only allowed for personal purposes.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in or related to the Carib Health app are owned exclusively by the Provider or its licensors.
Warranties
The Carib Health app is provided 'as is' and 'as available.' The Provider does not guarantee that the Carib Health app will be error-free or uninterrupted.
Updates
The Provider is entitled to make changes to the Carib Health app or amend the Terms at its discretion.
Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are exclusively governed by Dutch law. All disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam.
Final Provision
The provisions of these Terms remain in effect even after the User has terminated their account.
